2 including, 65-year-old women suffer pellet injuries as clashes intensify at South Kashmir’s Pulwama Village

Srinagar: Two persons including a 65 year-old woman were injured after government forces used tearsmoke shells and pellets during clashes in Sirnoo village of Pulwama district.

A 65 year old woman and a youth have suffered pellet injuries during clashes.

Local sources identified the woman as Saja Begum, wife of Mohammad Assan Kar.

Both the injured have been shifted to district hospital Pulwama for treatment.

The clashes erupted at Sirnoo village soon after forces launched a cordon and search operation at Kar-Mohalla after inputs about presence of militants in the village.

Meanwhile, the hospital sources said that both the injured have been referred to Srinagar hospital for specialised treatment.

Latest reports from the village said that the reports of injuries have further intensified the clashes in the area.
