9-years-old boy laid to rest in South Kashmir’s Shopian village
Srinagar: A boy was killed and four others injured in an explosion in Memendhar area of this south Kashmir district.
A group of children were fiddling with an explosive device in Memendhar village here this afternoon went it exploded with a bang, reports said.
At least five children, they said, sustained injuries in the explosion.
One of the injured boys later succumbed to his injuries, Sources told Global Kashmir.
Four other injured boys, they said, were referred to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.
The slain boy has been identified as 9-year-old Saliq Iqbal, son of Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh of Sheikhnad village.
Meanwhile, the slain boy laid to rest amid Pro-Freedom slogans in his native Village.
