Five policemen, two bank officials killed in SKulgam attack Kashmir's

Srinagar: Suspected militants killed five policemen and two bank employees on Monday after they attacked their vehicle in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Reports said that the gunmen stopped the cash van of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Pombai village of the district heading towards Kulgam after unloading cash at Nehama branch and opened indiscriminate fire, resulting into death of five cops and two bank employees.

The official identified the slain policemen as Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Bashir Ahmad Dar (100/GRP) S/O Abdul Gani Dar R/O Bonigam Qazigund, Farooq Ahmad Bhat (No. 332/KGM S/O Abdul Aziz R/O Nehama D.H.Pora, Mohammad Qasim (No. 638/KGM) S/O Bohu Khan R/O Awoora Trehgam Kupwara, Muzafar Ahmad (No. 1090/KGM) S/O Gul Mohammad Bhat R/O Y.K.Pora Qazigund, and Ishfaq Ahmad Hajam (No. 745/KGM) S/O Abdul Ahad Hajam R/O Zakoora Batpora Srinagar. The official identified the two Security Guards of J&K Bank as Javaid Ahmad Bhat R/O Vessu Batpora Kulgam and Muzafar Ahmad Laway R/O Largoo D.H. Pora Kulgam.
