‘Such decisions aimed to hide failures of BJP’ Srinagar, Nov 14 : Terming Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s announcement of demonization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 as ‘unique trick’, CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam, Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami on Monday said that BJP made such announcements only to hide their failures. In a statement issued to Global Kashmir, he said that with such announcements, BJP won’t achieve anything but can only leave poor section of the society to suffer. Tarigami said that PM Modi’s promises done with people over curbing the black money menace in India felt ill on the ground and thus, just to hide his failure’s he announced such decisions, which will certainly yield no results as happened in 38 years ago. He said that such steps were also taken in January 1946 and on 16 January 1978 but that didn’t yield any results however there was increase in black money, which was saved by the people in Swiss bank. “92.95 billion rupees were saved in Swiss bank after such announcements were made in past, which was admitted by the Swiss ministry of foreign affairs at that time,” he said. Tarigami said that in February 2012, the then Director of CBI had maintained that the people from India have saved illegal 500 billion dollars in foreign countries and later in February 2015, the names of people who had saved money were also revealed in a media report. He termed the government action against the people having black money as ‘show off’.
