02 persons arrested for Illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Khrew

Awantipora : Continuing its drive against persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Awantipora Police arrested 02 persons & seized 02 vehicles.

Police party from Police Station Khrew have arrested 02 persons namely:
1) Sajad Ahmad Bhat S/o Nazir Ahmad Bhat R/o Wuyan

2) Shabir Ahmad Sheikh S/o Ali Mohammad Sheikh R/o Wuyan and seized two vehicles Tipper JK04A- 8335 & Dumper JK13G- 9826 involved in illegal extraction of mineral in Khrew.

Accordingly, case vide FIR NO. 1 /2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station khrew and further investigation has been initiated.

Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt with as per law.
