DDC Pulwama hands over 40 vehicles to beneficiaries under ‘Mumkin’

The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Chowdhary who is also the Chairman of DLIC today handed over 40 vehicles to the beneficiaries under Customised Livelihood Generation, Mumkin Scheme, at Women’s College Pulwama, here.

Beneficiaries hailing from different areas of the district have been allotted the vehicles.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that ‘Mumkin’ is a livelihood generation scheme for eligible unemployed youth wherein they get light commercial vehicles under subsidized norms. And a number of such self-employment schemes are being implemented in the district, he added.

Chowdhary impressed upon the concerned officers to bring more progressive youth under the ambit of the scheme by generating requisite awareness among them. He also appealed to eligible youth to come forward and avail livelihood benefits under the scheme.

Interacting with the beneficiaries, the DDC advised them to make profitable use of the vehicles to earn a meaningful livelihood.
