375 Grams of Charas recovered by Police station Satwari, Jammu. One peddler arrested.

Jammu: Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 375 Gms of Charas from one drug peddler during naka checking near Matador stand Satwari.

A naka was laid by police teams of PS Satwari constituted under the supervision of SDPO South PK Mengi, whereby dedicated police teams of PS Satwari led by Incharge SHO PS Satwari Inspr. Sunil Sharma rounded up a suspect who turned suspicious on seeing police naka. On search, 375 Gms of Charas was recovered from the possession of suspect later identified Tika Ram S/O Nanak Chand R/O Chatha Mill Teh. Jammu.

On this, a Case FIR No 248/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act got registered at P/S Satwari and accused got arrested.

The overall arrest and recoveries were made under the supervision of SP City South Deepak Digra.

Further investigation of the case is going on.

Jammu police has started to work on backward linkages i.e from where exactly drugs had been procured and the forward linkages also i.e where the drugs were to be delivered. Intensive questioning is going on to know about their other accomplices in the crime.
