Kupwara  : An awareness camp was organized by IRP 4th Battalion in Wayne Kupwara regarding a cyber crime here on Wednesday. The camp was supervised by Commanding Officer Showkat Ahmed in presence of other dignitaries.
On this occasion, the experts provided detailed information to the officers and officials regarding cyber crime so that people are protected from these crimes in the coming time.
During the programme the Commanding officer IRP 4the Battalion Showkat Ahmed said that the main motive behind conducting such programmes’ is to spread awareness about cyber threats/activities viz, Malware attacks, Ransomware, OLX fraud, KYC scam, Identity theft, investment Scam, Loan offer Fraud etc.He stressed upon the jawans to understand the risks involved in using the Internet without proper guidance and monitoring by elders keep full knowledge about cyber crimes.
During this time Professor Dr. Mehraj Degree College Kupwara threw light on how people should prevent themselves from cyber crimes.
“He also appealed to the participants to remain extra cautious about the risks associated with digital transactions and social media applications in use”.
He also advised the participants to observe utmost caution as this is the age of Cyber Warfare
On the occasion Advocate Abdul Majeed Mir also delivered a speech to spread awareness on the theme.
