BBBP: Sankalp-HEW Kulgam conducts Awareness/ Distribution programme at CFC DH Pora

KULGAM : The SANKALP Hub for Empowerment of Women (HEW) Kulgam today organised awareness programme and distributed baby kits under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme to promote gender equality and challenge deep-rooted social preferences for sons.

The kits, which include essentials for newborn baby girls, serve as a gesture of respect and value towards the girl child, sending a strong message to communities that daughters are to be celebrated and promote positive attitudes towards the girl child.
The programme aimed to generate comprehensive awareness to enlighten the community about the significance of the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ initiative.
A heartwarming gesture of support was extended to the parents of the girl child aiming to facilitate their good health.
Speakers shared their insights to motivate the parents and encourage them to support their daughters in pursuing their dreams.
The event was a resounding success, leaving a positive impact on the attendees and reinforcing the message that every girl deserves a fair chance at education and a prosperous life.
Event was attended by Supervisors, Anganwadi workers, lactating mothers and officials from the Social Welfare office and staff from One Stop Centre.
