Kupwara : The Police Post Awoora organized an awareness rally aimed at combating drug abuse in the community on Tuesday.
The rally was led by Incharge Police Post Awoora, Nazeer Ahmad, in the presence of the Headmaster of Govt. Boys High School Awoora and other officials.
The event saw participation from the education department, including students from local schools, as well as media representatives.
The rally began at Govt. Boys High School and proceeded to Muhammadiya English Medium School Awoora. The march passed through the main market, where participants raised slogans and displayed banners and placards promoting a drug-free lifestyle.
SI Nazeer Ahmad urged parents, teachers, and community members to stay vigilant and supportive in guiding the youth towards a healthy and positive lifestyle. He also appealed to the public to proactively report any incidents of drug trafficking or abuse to the police.
