Kupwara:  In a move to enhance agricultural productivity, the Department of Agriculture, District Kupwara, has inaugurated a Farm Machinery Bank under the HADP (Holistic Agriculture Development Programme) Scheme for the year 2024-25.
The inauguration ceremony took place in the village of Zurhama, located in the Trehgam Sub-Division of Kupwara, marking a new chapter in the development of local agriculture.
The Farm Machinery Bank will provide the farming community with access to a wide range of modern farm machinery, aimed at improving land cultivation and reducing manual labor. This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to modernize farming techniques and ensure better crop yields.
Farmers in the area have expressed a highly positive response to the establishment of this facility, noting that it will greatly ease their work and enhance efficiency in crop production.
The farming community in Zurhama has shown immense gratitude towards the Department of Agriculture, District Kupwara, for implementing the HADP Scheme and bringing this much-needed facility to their village. The availability of advanced machinery will allow farmers to adopt new, innovative methods for tilling, planting, and harvesting, which are expected to lead to increased agricultural output and improved livelihoods.
This Farm Machinery Bank initiative is expected to play a key role in the socio-economic development of the area, helping to transform agricultural practices and providing farmers with the tools they need to thrive.
The positive feedback from local farmers underscores the significance of this development for the future of agriculture in Kupwara.
