DC Budgam inspects progress of work on new Chadoora Bus Adda

BUDGAM : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo Wednesday conducted an on-site inspection of the new Chadoora Bus Adda to review its progress and associated road infrastructure development.

The project is a major urban development project that shall aid in decongestion of heavy traffic in the densely habituated Chadoora area.
Major work on the key aspects of the New Bus Adda has been completed including the development of the Bus Adda area, development of approach road, removal of structures within the approved alignment, completion of the allied bridge on the other end of the proposed Adda.
Additionally, the DC also reviewed the proposed new road connecting the Chadoora Bus Stand to Daulatpora, which will cater to multiple villages including Daulatpora, Kaisermulla, Bugam Batpora, and Wadipora area.
The DC underscored the importance of timely execution of the project to benefit the local population, decongest the heavily jammed area and improve connectivity in the area.
He said, new Chadoora bus stand and the approach road is expected to ease congestion in the Chadoora main market, offering smooth transit for residents and commuters.
The DC reiterated the District administration’s commitment for completing these infrastructure projects efficiently and timely.
The DC was accompanied by SDM Chadoora, CPO budgam, Executive Engineer R&B Chadoora, ARTO Budgam, Tehsildar Chadoora and Officials from the concerned departments and other stakeholders.
