Kupwara Police Apprehend Two Drug Peddlers; Contraband and Cash Seized

Kupwara : In a significant event against drug peddling,a police party from Police Station Kupwara apprehended two drug peddlers during routine patrolling at Regipora Sumo Stand. The suspects were identified as

Faizan Ahmad Zarger, son of Reyaz Ahmad Zarger, resident of village Tikker, Kupwara and Tulha Zarger, son of Late Gh. Hassan Zarger, resident of village Tikker, Kupwara.
During their personal search,4 grams of brown sugar-like substance and Cash amounting to ₹35,000/- has been recovered.
A case under FIR No. 279/2024 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at the Police Station Kupwara and further investigation is underway to ascertain the source and network involved in this illegal trade.
