DC Kupwara reviews stamp duty rates for 2025

KUPWARA : Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan today chaired a meeting of the District Valuation Committee in the Mini Meeting Hall of DC Office here to review the stamp duty rates proposed for the year 2025.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the proposals submitted by Sub-Division-level committees and directed the ADC, ACR and SDMs to revisit the proposed rates.
The revision is to be based on current market trends and registration data from 2024.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of adhering to established criteria for rate fixation and instructed the officers to conduct a comprehensive review.
She called for a classification of the rate structure based on area categories to ensure fair and accurate finalization of the stamp duty rates for the District. The officers were urged to finalize the rates promptly while ensuring transparency and alignment with market conditions.
