Lolab: Government Girls Middle School Tekipora Lolab kickstarted an enrollment drive here on Saturday. With the fresh drive, the school became the first in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, to take the initiative for upcoming academic session.

The educational institute marked the drive by organising an event, which saw the students performing diverse cultural programmes, as per Alfaaz – The Words.

The event was attended by Mohammad Ishaq Bhat (senior teacher posted at Machil sector), Mohammad Ashraf Bhat (teacher posted at Govt Higher Secondary School Tekipora Lolab), Tariq Ahmad Khan (teacher at Govt Primary School Pathan Mohalla Putushai) in presence of headmaster Mohmmad Yousuf and other teaching and non-teaching staff.

A teacher of the educational institute was bestowed with Best Performance Certificate on the occasion.

The drive has been initiated on the directions of Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK).

Headmaster of the school Mohammad Yousuf on the eve congratulated the staffers for successful initiation of the drive.

The head teacher expressed his satisfaction on the quality of education being imparted to the students in the institute. “This institute is well ahead of its contemporaries in the area and has all the facilities for its students to ensure quality education,” Yousuf said.

“The alumni of the school too have been too appreciative about the education they have received here,” he said.

The head teacher on the occasion flagged the proximity of the school to forest area. “Given the fact that this school lies close to the forest area, the management every now and then apprehends of some untoward incident,” he said, while urging the administration to construct a protection/boundary wall around the institute to safeguard the lives of the students and the school property.

Notably, the school has seen a much better performance with regard to the enrollment drive as the institute saw about forty admissions in the last academic session also.
