DC Baramulla reviews functioning of Revenue Department

Directs on-time delivery of online services as per PSGA guidelines

BARAMULLA : In order to review the functioning of the Revenue Department and take a Tehsil-wise appraisal of the revenue-related public services delivery system in the District, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, today chaired a meeting at the Dak Bungalow, here.
During the meeting, the DC reviewed the progress of all tehsils of the district on various revenue matters, including progress on the digitization of jamabandis, reconstruction of damaged massavies, disbursement of funds for land acquisitions, status of online grievances under JK Samadhan, issuance of certificates, and other online public services delivery systems.
Meanwhile, Minga Sherpa took a detailed case-wise review with regard to the present status and progress of mutations of defense land in the district.
During the meeting, the DC directed all tehsildars to hold meetings with BDOs and officers from other departments, including Education, PHE, PDD, and others within their respective tehsils, to identify government assets and ensure that there are no disputes or issues related to land ownership to prevent any future land-related complications.
Furthermore, the DC directed the tehsildars to prioritize the resolution of pending cases in their respective courts by expediting the proceedings where possible, and ensure the timely and fair disposal of all pending matters.
The DC also reviewed the process of the online public services delivery mechanism and underscored that not a single application should be beyond the stipulated period under the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA).
The DC instructed all the tehsildars to pay special attention to the issuance of various certificates, including domicile, income, and other certificates, and the complaints registered on the portal/offline to ensure their time-bound, prompt, and quality disposal.
Besides, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Raina; Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), SDM Pattan, SDM Uri, SDM Gulmarg and all Tehsildars of the District were present in the meeting.
