Kupwara : In a major step towards combating drug-related activities, Police Station Kralpora successfully apprehended a drug peddler during a checkpoint at Guzriyal Reshigund crossing at around 1840 hrs.
The accused, identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan S/O Lal Khan R/O Lone Harri Tangwari, aged about 28 years, was apprehended after an individual showing suspicious behavior. Upon his personal search, 20.09 grams of a charas-like substance was recovered from his possession.
The contraband was seized on the spot, and a case has been registered under FIR No. 106/2024 under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Kralpora. An investigation has been launched to identify potential links and networks associated with the illegal activity.
Kupwara Police reiterates its firm commitment to eradicating the drug menace and ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
