Karnah Kupwara : The Sharda Temple, located on the Line of Control (LoC) in Teetwal, Kashmir, hosted a vibrant celebration of Geeta Jayanti today. The occasion was marked with a traditional havan ceremony and recitation of Geeta shlokas at the temple premises.
The havan was organized by the Save Sharda Committee, Kashmir Regd, in collaboration with Rudranath Vishal Maharaj, who performed the sacred ritual in the presence of a large gathering of devotees. The event was also attended by Ravinder Pandita, Head of the Save Sharda Committee, Kashmir Regd, who extended warm wishes to all Sanatanis on the occasion of Geeta Jayanti.
In addition to the havan ceremony, Geeta shlokas were recited at Swami Nand Lal Ghat on the banks of the River Kishenganga. The event aimed to spread the importance and significance of Geeta, which is considered one of the most sacred texts in Hinduism.
On this occasion, a kalash of pious water from the River Kishenganga was taken for the upcoming Prayagraj Kumbh. The event concluded with a sense of devotion and spiritual rejuvenation among the participants.
The Save Sharda Committee is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Kashmir. The committee works towards protecting and preserving historical sites like Sharda Temple, which holds great significance in Hindu mythology.
