Principal GMC Srinagar inspects PHC Khag, Govt Unani Medical College Gbl

SRINAGAR : Principal and Dean Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, Prof. (Dr.) Iffat Hassan Shah, Monday conducted inspection visit to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Khag and the Government Unani Medical College Nawab Bagh, Ganderbal.
Dr. Iffat was accompanied by Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, Administrator Associated Hospitals GMC Srinagar; HOD SPM, Dr. Salim Khan, Block Medical Officers and Assistant Director Planning.
The inspection visit to the PHC in Khag aimed to assess the facilities, services, and overall functioning of the health centre.
The inspection focused on infrastructure, staff availability, patient care, and essential supplies. Principal visited various sections of the newly constructed building and also inspected the site for construction of the Hostel Block. She also visited MHRU and enquired about its working.
During the visit to the Government Unani Medical College, Dr. Iffat Hassan conducted an in-depth inspection to assess the college’s facilities, Academic activities, services and overall operational standards. The inspection covered critical areas such as infrastructure, academic progress, staff and faculty availability, patient care, and essential resources.
Dr. Iffat engaged with students and faculty members, listening to their concerns and suggestions. She assured them that all necessary resources and facilities would be provided and urged the college administration to create a dynamic and supportive environment for students.
She emphasized the importance of dedicated efforts from all staff members, encouraging them to work with enthusiasm and focus on improving patient care and overall institutional excellence.
These inspection visits reflect the administration’s commitment to strengthening healthcare services in rural areas and enhancing the standards of medical education.
