Although the iPhone 16 series was just launched in September, rumours about the next-generation iPhone 17 series are already making waves. Apple is expected to shake things up in 2025 with a fresh approach, possibly replacing the long-standing Plus variant with a new model. This new device could be called the iPhone 17 Air or iPhone 17 Slim. If these reports are accurate, we might see Apple introduce four models next year: the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Let’s take a closer look at what to expect from the iPhone 17.

iPhone 17 expected release date
Apple typically unveils its new iPhones in September, with most releases happening between the second and third week of the month. For example, the iPhone 16 series debuted on September 9, with shipping starting on September 20. Following this trend, the iPhone 17 series is expected to be launched between September 10-14, 2025. However, this is just speculation, and we’ll need to wait for Apple’s official announcement for confirmation.

iPhone 17 expected design and specifications
The iPhone 17 series is rumoured to have a sleeker, thinner design compared to its predecessors. The base model is expected to feature a 6.6-inch display. Apple’s in-house Wi-Fi 7 chip could be included in at least one of the models. All four models are also expected to come with ProMotion technology, which will enable a smooth 120Hz refresh rate for seamless scrolling, enhanced video playback, and overall improved visuals. While detailed camera specifications are still under wraps, we can expect significant improvements in the iPhone 17 series, continuing Apple’s trend of enhancing its photography capabilities with each new release. Enhanced AI features and new camera technologies could be on the horizon, offering even better low-light performance and advanced image processing.

iPhone 17 expected price in India
The base model of the iPhone 16 series was priced at Rs 79,990 in India. With Apple shifting some production to India as part of its strategy to reduce dependence on China, the iPhone 17 series could be priced similarly. The base model may start at around Rs 79,999, depending on production costs and other factors. (digit.in)
