Jammu: In the early hours of New Year’s Day, Border Security Force (BSF) personnel stationed in the RS Pura sector of Jammu opened fire after detecting suspicious activity near the India-Pakistan border. The incident occurred when the BSF sentry observed movement originating from the Pakistani side, prompting immediate action.

According to officials, over a dozen rounds were fired to deter any potential intrusion.
