Tehsildar Handwara reviews arrangements for Republic Day celebration

KUPWARA: Following the directions of Deputy Commissioner, (DC), Kupwara, and in order to ensure proper arrangements for ensuing Republic Day (RD) celebration in Sub Division Handwara, Tehsildar Handwara, Zeeshan khan today convened a meeting of all concerned officers, at Environmental Hall Handwara.
Speaking on the occasion, the Tehsildar stressed upon the officers to ensure hassle free arrangements for smooth conduct of the National Event and instructed them to maintain proper coordination and follow a timeline for ensuring arrangements well in advance.
All the departments were asked to display Tableaus on the eve of Republic Day Parade to showcase government schemes and achievements of their respective departments during the current year.
He also stressed the need for proper seating arrangement and also issued instructions to the police department for security arrangements.
All the officers were asked that Republic Day celebration functions shall be held at Tehsil and Block levels with fervour and enthusiasm.
Tehsildar Handwara briefed the meeting about the programme and responsibilities of each officer and informed that the main function of the Republic Day will be held at District Police Lines (DPL) Kulangam Handwara.
Arrangements for Power supply, water, sanitation, seating arrangements, refreshment, deployment of magistrates, cultural programmes, barricading and availability of fire-tenders were also reviewed.
Sectoral Officers, besides senior officers of Police were present in the meeting.
