PoJK resident apprehended along LoC in Poonch, Authorities To Decide If He Crossed Inadvertently Or Otherwise

Poonch : A 30-year-old man from PoJK, apparently mentally challenged, has been apprehended along Line of Control in Poonch district, officials said.

They said that the man identified as Faiz Yasir was apprehended by a joint team of Army and Police from a house in Salhotri village of the mountainous district late last night, around 2350 hours. Actually they said, the man was locked in the house by the particular family before informing army and Police in this regard.

Initially, they said, the man was questioned by army in the camp and later shifted to Police Station Poonch.

Officials privy to it also disclosed to that a hotline message has been received by army from Pakistan counterparts in this regard.

Confirming apprehension of the individual, a police official said the decision to repatriate him or otherwise will be decided after necessary questioning by field agencies.
