Jammu : Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, has lauded the Union Budget 2025-26, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, as a pragmatic and visionary step towards a developed India.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the government’s focus on economic growth, tax relief, and transformative reforms across multiple sectors.
“My heartfelt thanks to Hon’ble Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman Ji for a pragmatic Budget for Viksit Bharat. Grateful to Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji for putting the economy on a fast-track and bold development initiatives for the poor, youth, farmers, and women,” wrote LG Sinha.
He highlighted the significant relief provided to the middle class through the revised tax rate structure, terming it a “historic move” aimed at improving their lives. He further applauded the enhancement of the TDS limit on rent, social security measures, and efforts to formalize the gig economy, calling it a “huge relief to taxpayers.
