DC Bandipora chairs Road Safety meeting

BANDIPORA : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, who is also Chairman Road Safety Committee on Monday chaired a meeting of District Road Safety Committee (DRSC) at Mini Secretariat Bandipora.
The meeting discussed threadbare various issues including raising awareness, establishment of trauma centre, road safety audit, fixing of road signages, black spot identification and erection of cash barriers besides other issues.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner M.A.Qadri, emphasized the need for collaborative efforts from various departments to enhance road safety measures and mitigate risks to ensure the safety of road users.
He stressed the importance of timely implementation of the proposed initiatives and called for active participation from all stakeholders in promoting road safety.
Deputy Commissioners emphasized the urgency of identifying high-risk areas and mitigating those risks through better signage, and proper road engineering. He also urged the public to adhere to traffic rules and make road safety a collective priority.
Among others the meeting was attended by ADDC Zaffar Husson Shawl, CMO Dr.Rafi Ahmad Salathi, ARTO Anees Ahmad, DIO Aadil Manzoor Wani, Tehsildar Bandipora Firdous Ahmad Qadri and other concerned.
