Wadura : The Faculty of Agriculture at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), Wadura, welcomed Prof. Shakeel Ahmad Mir as the new Dean of the faculty today. A grand reception was organized by faculty members, staff, and students to mark the occasion.

Prof. Mir, an eminent academician and expert in Agricultural Statistics, brings a wealth of experience to this esteemed position. His scholarly work is well-recognized, with numerous research publications and contributions in the field of agriculture.

During the welcome ceremony, faculty members and colleagues expressed their confidence in Prof. Mir’s leadership and vision for advancing agricultural education, research, and innovation at SKUAST-K. Addressing the gathering, Prof. Mir emphasized his commitment to fostering academic excellence, strengthening research collaborations, and enhancing student engagement.

“I am honored to take on this responsibility and look forward to working closely with my colleagues, students, and the farming community to drive impactful research and sustainable agricultural solutions,” said Prof. Mir.

Senior officials of SKUAST-K, including distinguished faculty members, scientists, and administrative staff, congratulated him on his new role and extended their best wishes.

The Faculty of Agriculture at SKUAST-K Wadura continues to play a pivotal role in agricultural research and development in the region. With Prof. Mir at the helm, the institution is expected to further its contributions toward agricultural sustainability and rural development.
