Handwara : In a significant initiative to educate the youth and the general public about recently amended criminal laws, Handwara Police organized an awareness programme at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Qalamabad.

The event was chaired by ASP Handwara, Shri Zaffar Iqbal Nawaz, along with SHO Qalamabad. The initiative aimed to familiarize students with the new legal provisions, enabling them to stay well-informed and better equipped to navigate the evolving legal framework.

During the session, police officers highlighted key aspects of the revised criminal laws and emphasized their role in fostering a safer society. They underscored the importance of implementing and adhering to these legal norms to maintain law and order effectively.

Students actively participated in the interactive session, engaging in in-depth discussions on the new laws. They posed various queries to a panel of legal experts, who provided detailed clarifications and insights, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.

Handwara Police reaffirmed its commitment to raising public awareness about newly introduced laws through educational programs and community outreach initiatives. The department aims to foster a law-abiding society by ensuring that people are well-informed about their rights and responsibilities under the updated legal system.
