Kupwara Police Apprehends Drug Peddler, Narcotics Seized

Kupwara : Continuing its relentless efforts against drug trafficking, Kupwara Police apprehended a suspected drug peddler and seized narcotics during a routine naka checking at Khazan Mati, Kralpora.

The accused, identified as Muneer Ahmad Lone, son of Mohammad Sultan Lone, resident of Kralpora, attempted to flee upon noticing the police checkpoint but was swiftly apprehended by the alert personnel on duty. During his personal search, a cannabis-like substance (apparently charas) was recovered from his possession.

In this regard, a case (FIR No. 11/2025) under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kralpora, and further investigation is underway.
