Srinagar : In the spirit of Ramadan and community service, Team Red a leading NGO of the valley: successfully organized an Iftaar Distribution Drive in Srinagar, ensuring that individuals unable to reach home on time had a warm meal to break their fast.
The initiative, held at LD Hospital and other key locations, was aimed at supporting those in need, including patients, attendants, laborers, and commuters. Team Red volunteers actively participated in preparing, packing, and distributing Iftaar kits, reflecting the core values of compassion and service that the holy month of Ramadan embodies.
Speaking about the initiative, Saadat Nasir Wani Sogami, Chairman of Team Red, stated:
“Ramadan teaches us the values of empathy, kindness, and giving. Through this Iftaar distribution drive, we hope to bring smiles to those who may not have the opportunity to break their fast with their families. It is our duty to stand with our community, and Team Red remains committed to humanitarian efforts across various domains.”
Saadat Sogami led the drive, while Senior Members Maqsood Rather, Humaan Bhat, Aijaz Hassan, Sofi Mushtaq, Basit Khan, Misbah Rather, Rafia Rehaab, Iram Ali, Tehleen Mehraj, Shahla Ishtiaq, Sajad Bhat, Adnan Farried, Irtiqa Mehraj and other members were accompanying.
