02 persons arrested for Illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Pampore

Awantipora : Continuing its drive against persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Awantipora Police arrested 02 persons & seized 02 vehicles.

Police party from Police Station Pampore headed by SHO PS Pampore Inspector Naieem Rashid have arrested 02 persons namely:

01) Showkat Ahmad Rather s/o Ghulam Mohidin Rather R/O Sambar Bug Budgam.

02) Mohd Yaseen Dar S/o Ab Hamid Dar R/O Khankahbagh Pampore.
and seized two vehicles (Tipper) Jk13H-0354 and JK01AW-1798 involved in illegal extraction of mineral in Pampore .

Accordingly, case vide FIR NO. 36/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Pampore and further investigation has been initiated.

Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt with as per law.
