DDC Member Hajin A, ADC participate in IEC campaign against Drug Abuse at HSS Aragam

BANDIPORA : As part of the UT Level IEC Campaign against Drug Abuse, an awareness programme was today held at Higher Secondary School (HSS) Aragam.
The programme, aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse, was attended by District Development Council Member Hajin A, Dr.Ghulam Mustafa Khan; ADC Bandipora, Zaffar Husson Shawl besides a large gathering of public including parents and youth.
On the occasion, a series of engaging activities were held, including informative lectures by resource persons on the physical, psychological, and social consequences of drug addiction besides engaging interactive sessions were also held.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC Member emphasized the importance of public involvement and educational efforts in combating the drug menace.
He highlighted the pivotal role of sports in keeping youth away from the path of drug addiction.
Dr.Mustafa said that the youth are the future, and it is our collective responsibility to protect them from the clutches of drug abuse.
In his address, ADC emphasized the urgent need to combat the growing menace of drug abuse, highlighting the devastating impact of drug addiction on individuals, families, and society as a whole.
He said the IEC campaign is a vital step in educating our students and youth about the dangers of drugs and empowering them to make healthy choices.
Besides others, the event also witnessed participation from resource persons of the education department, health department, police and other concerned departments.
