Kupwara : In a determined effort to enhance road safety and ensure compliance with traffic regulations, SSP Traffic Rural kashmir R.P. Singh, accompanied by Dysp traffic Mujahid Nazir on thursday launched a special enforcement drive targeting traffic violators in various sectors of kupwara.
During the drive, a total of 62 challans were issued for various traffic violations. Authorities also seized four vehicles, and a cumulative fine of Rs 9,200 was collected from offenders.
Significantly, one vehicle was challaned for using a pressure horn in the Lolab area—an act that poses both noise pollution concerns and safety risks.
SSP traffic rural kashmir R.P Singh reiterated the department’s commitment to maintaining road discipline and urged the public to follow traffic rules diligently. He warned that such enforcement drives will continue in the future to ensure safer roads for all.
