MY Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, is actively
mobilising youth across the country to enrol as MY Bharat Civil Defence Volunteers. This nationwide call is part of a concerted effort to empower young citizens to take up vital roles in national cause, particularly during emergencies and crisis. The initiative aims to
build a well-trained, responsive, and resilient volunteer force that can compliment civil administration in times of natural disasters, accidents, public emergencies, and other
unforeseen situations.
In view of the current scenario and emerging security concerns, there is an urgent and growing need to establish a robust, community-based response mechanism. Civil Defence Volunteers play a critical role in this regard by supporting local authorities through a wide range of services. These include rescue and evacuation operations, first aid and emergency care, traffic management, crowd control, public safety, and assisting in disaster response and rehabilitation efforts. The importance of a prepared and trained civilian force is greater than ever before, and MY Bharat is committed to
contributing to this national mission.
MY Bharat, therefore, appeals to its dynamic network of youth volunteers—and all other enthusiastic young citizens—to step forward and register as MY Bharat Civil Defence Volunteers. Both existing MY Bharat volunteers and new individuals who wish to serve the
nation in this capacity are welcome to join. This initiative not only instils a strong sense of civic responsibility and discipline among youth but also equips them with practical lifesaving skills and training to act swiftly in critical situations.
The registration process is simple and accessible through the official MY Bharat portal:
https://mybharat.gov.in. It is a clarion call for Youth to come forward and mobilise
all interested Youth/Public for this national cause.
