Srinagar Police Organizes T-10 COSCO Cricket Tournament under Civic Action Programme

Srinagar: District Police Srinagar organized T-10 COSCO Cricket Tournament in the Downtown area of Srinagar under the aegis of Civic Action Programme ( CAP ) 2024-25.

Day 5 of DA-JGUA witnesses enthusiastic participation at Satrina, Kangan

The tournament witnessed enthusiatic participation from all sections of society, especially the youth of the area.
Ten cricket teams from District Srinagar participated in the tournament with positive energy and sportsmanship and league matches were held at various venues including Redpora and Islamia College.

The final match of the tournament was played at Islamia College, Hawal, between Wazpora XI and Palpora XI, with Wazpora XI emerging as the winners.

Mementos, cash prizes, medals, sports items and playing kits were distributed among the teams and players. Additionally, cricket uniforms were provided to all players of the 10 participating teams as goodwill gesture.

The event was presided over by SP North City Srinagar, and was attended by SDPOs Khanyar and SDPO MR Gunj, as well as SHOs of Sub-Division Khanyar.

The participating teams lauded the role of J&K Police for organizing such events and urged for conducting these events in future also. The tournament not only brought enthusiastic participation among the youth but also strengthened ties between law enforcement and the community, thereby, enhancing police-public relationship.
