Intense showers, windstorms likely in J&K parts on May 30, 31: MeT

SRINAGAR: The Meteorological department has forecast brief spell of rain and thundershower at isolated places of Jammu and Kashmir on May 29, and stated a possibility of light to moderate rain and thundershower at many places accompanied with intense showers with gusty winds at few places between May 30 and 31.

An official said that there is a possibility of brief spell of rain and thundershower at isolated places on May 28 (late afternoon) and 29.

He said there is a possibility of spell of light to moderate rain and thundershower at many places accompanied with intense showers with gusty winds likely at few places in J&K from May 30-31. ‘There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain, thunder and gusty winds at scattered places during May 30-31,” he said.

The official continued that from June 1-3 the isolated places of Jammu and Kashmir likely to receive brief spell of light rain and thundershower.(Agencies)
