“It’s a step that we should appreciate, but I would like to say that Kashmir is an ecologically fragile state. In Anantnag, near Pahalgam, they wanted to establish a rail track through orchards, but we need to remember the fragility of the place. The establishment of the rail track should be done keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers… they are deboarded at Katra for a security check, and there is a long delay of 2-3 hours there. So, these are things that should be looked into.”….” Mufti told the media.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jammu and Kashmir on June 6 for the inauguration of several projects including the Chenab bridge, the Anji bridge, and the flagging off of Vande Bharat trains.(Agencies)
