KUPWARA : In a concerted effort to promote youth entrepreneurship and self-employment, the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) Kupwara, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan today approved 26 cases under the Mission YUVA (Yuva Udyamita Vikas Abhiyan) scheme.
The meeting was held at the Mini Meeting Hall of the DC Office, Kupwara, and was convened to evaluate and approve applications received from aspiring entrepreneurs under the Mission YUVA initiative. The scheme is designed to provide financial assistance and capacity-building support to youth for launching and sustaining their entrepreneurial ventures.
During the meeting, the concerned officials presented a detailed appraisal of the applications received. After thorough scrutiny and discussion, 26 eligible cases were approved by the Committee for further financial assistance and handholding support.
Speaking on the occasion, DC highlighted the pivotal role of Mission YUVA in enabling local youth to pursue self-employment opportunities and contribute to the economic development of the district. She emphasized the need for effective implementation and directed the District Employment & Counseling Centre Kupwara to ensure wider dissemination of the scheme among eligible youth and encourage greater participation.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Mufti Fareed ud din; ADC Handwara, Javid Naseem Masoodi; GM DIC, Sameer Jaan; CPO, LDM and other members of the Committee.
