International Yoga Day 2025 Celebrated with Zeal at DLSA Kupwara

Kupwara : The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kupwara, in Collaboration with Ayush Department Kupwara, under the aegis of the Jammu & Kashmir Legal Services Authority, celebrated the 10th International Yoga Day on 21st June 2025 with great enthusiasm and participation at the Bar Conference Room, District Court Complex, Kupwara, at 10:00 AM. The event was organized with the central theme “Yoga for Self and Society”, reflecting the holistic benefits of yoga in building individual and community well-being.

The programme brought together a diverse group of stakeholders from the legal services ecosystem, Bar Members, judicial officers, court staff, Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs), panel lawyers, members of the Legal Aid Defense Counsel System (LADCS), and other legal aid workers from across the district.

 

Guided Yoga Session by AYUSH Department Kupwara

The celebration began with a guided yoga session conducted by a dedicated team of trained instructors from the AYUSH Department, Kupwara. The trainers led participants through a well-structured sequence of yogic asanas (postures), pranayama (controlled breathing), and mindfulness meditation, with a focus on enhancing physical health, relieving stress, and promoting inner stability. The instructors also explained the scientific and spiritual relevance of each posture, encouraging attendees to integrate yoga into their daily lives for long-term health and professional balance.

The event promoted unity, health awareness, and the message that yoga is a universal practice for personal and social upliftment.

A formal pledge was taken by all participants to continue practicing yoga and to raise awareness about its benefits in their local communities, especially in far-flung and rural areas.

The event was documented in photographs and videos and will be disseminated through official DLSA platforms to encourage broader public engagement and lifestyle change.

DLSA Kupwara extends its heartfelt gratitude to the AYUSH Department Kupwara for collaboration and deputing a professional team of trainers and for playing a pivotal role in the successful conduct of the yoga session. The initiative reaffirmed the DLSA’s commitment not only to legal empowerment but also to the physical and emotional wellness of its workforce and community partners.
