BUDGAM : As part of the ongoing efforts to ensure inclusive development and saturation of government welfare schemes in tribal areas, Dharti Aabha Jhanbaghidari Abhiyan was successfully conducted for the third consecutive day at panchayat Frestwar, village Shalnar, a remote tribal settlement under block Khansahib of district Budgam.
The Abhiyan, being implemented under the overarching objective of ensuring 100% saturation of 25 identified sectoral interventions across 17 line departments in tribal villages, witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local tribal population.
The Gram Sabha held on the occasion provided a platform for direct interface between government functionaries and the community members.
All 17 line departments actively participated in the awareness camp and Gram Sabha, during which departmental representatives elaborated on the schemes being implemented in their respective sectors. These included flagship schemes in housing, agriculture, skill development, health, education, drinking water, tribal welfare, and financial inclusion, among others.
Special focus was laid on identifying and bridging existing gaps to achieve full saturation of benefits in the village.
The community, especially women and youth, participated in large numbers and interacted with the officials, sharing their feedback and highlighting the positive impact of such outreach programmes.
To promote cultural inclusivity and heritage, students of Government Secondary School Shalnar presented a series of cultural performances including Gojri folk songs and skits. These performances not only added vibrancy to the event but also emphasized the importance of preserving local culture and traditions.
As part of the on-ground deliverables of the campaign, on-spot registration of eligible beneficiaries under various schemes was facilitated. These include PMAY-G, Kisan Credit Cards, Swadesh Darshan Guest Homes, Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Jal Jeevan Mission – Functional Household Tap Connections (JJM-FHTC), and PMJAY Health Cards among others.
The campaign continues to be a vital step towards realizing the goal of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ in true spirit, with focused attention on marginalized and underserved communities of district Budgam.
