Progress under Mission Yuva reviewed at Kupwara

KUPWARA : District administration Kupwara convened a review meeting under the chairmanship of the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kupwara, Mufti Fareed Ud- Din to assess the progress of Mission YUVA in the district.
ADDC expressed concern over the slow pace of progress, and directed each YUVA Doot to ensure a minimum of 50 applications by the end of May 2025. He stressed the need for intensified outreach, awareness activities, and active support to applicants at the grassroots level.
ADDC said, “Yuvadoots are the bridge between governance and the grassroots. Their role is not just to inform but to inspire action at the community level. With effective interdepartmental synergy, the real transformation can be brought to every doorstep.”
He also called for collective and coordinated efforts from all stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of Mission YUVA across the district.
The meeting was attended by Incharge Business Help Desk Kupwara, Counselling Officer, and YUVA Doots from all blocks of Kupwara district.
At the outset of the meeting, Career Counselling Officer, Nidhia Nazir highlighted the mission’s role in empowering local youth.
It was given out in the meeting that a total of 1391 applications have been received through the Mission YUVA portal.
Chair meticulously reviewed block-wise performance and pending targets.
Common challenges faced by YUVA Doots were discussed and addressed during the meeting. Weekly progress reporting and strict monitoring mechanisms were emphasized to ensure effective and timely implementation of the mission.
