Kokernag : Mohd Rouf Rahman (JKAS), Chief Executive Officer of Kokernag Development Authority (KDA), conducted an early morning inspection of Dandipora Recreational Park to assess ongoing arrangements for its upgradation and maintenance.
The visit comes in the wake of scorching temperatures that have damaged the park’s lawns and grass cover.
To address the issue, the CEO promptly sanctioned the installation of a water motor along with pipes to ensure timely watering of the lawns. He also issued on-the-spot directions to KDA staff to repair the viewing decks and the steel grill surrounding the gazebo. These measures aim to enhance visitor safety and prevent injuries or accidents, particularly for tourists who frequent the area for photography and selfies.
Taking a firm stance against vandalism, the CEO warned of strict action against individuals found damaging tourism department assets.
Later, Rouf Rahman visited Daksum, where he took stock of the overall situation, inspected tourism infrastructure, and engaged in meaningful interactions with tourists, local residents, and employees from various departments. The CEO reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to providing improved facilities and ensuring a safe, enjoyable experience for visitors to the region.
