PULWAMA : In a moment etched with emotion, reverence, harmony and hope, the native Pandit community gathered today at Shree Jeevan Sahib, Ladhoo, Pampore to celebrate Vyas Purnima after a gap of 35 years. The event also commemorated the Nirvan Divas of the revered saint Swami Jeevan Sahib Ji and was organised by the Swami Jeevan Sahib Baradari Religious Trust.
The event included traditional Pooja and Havan ceremonies, accompanied by recitations and devotional hymns. The event provided an opportunity for the community to reconnect with their place of origin and revive longstanding religious traditions.
The local Muslim community warmly welcomed their long-separated neighbours, reviving the enduring spirit of Kashmiriyat. The elders of both fraternities reminisced about the days of harmony, festivity and togetherness, rekindling memories of a time rooted in shared humanity and mutual respect.
Senior members of the Pandit fraternity expressed heartfelt gratitude to the district administration for facilitating the event and ensuring its smooth conduct. They also conveyed deep appreciation for the hospitality and participation of the local community, which they described as a reassuring reflection of communal harmony and mutual respect.
