Doda : In remembrance to the brave martyrs and marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, District Police Doda held a majestic Police Band Show on Tuesday, 28th October 2025 (Tuesday), from Police Station Doda to Old Bus Stand, Doda, where a Patriotic Film was also screened.
The event aimed to pay tribute to the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
A patriotic short film was also screened after the band performance, drawing wide appreciation from the public and media representatives from all walks of life present on the occasion. The event witnessed an emotional and patriotic atmosphere as prominent citizens and influencers joined Doda Police in honouring the memory of the fallen heroes.
On the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police Doda, Shri Sandeep Mehta (JKPS), said that such events are a humble tribute to the martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety and integrity of the nation. He added that the Police Department remains committed to keeping alive the legacy of courage, dedication, and service exemplified by these heroes.
The event also aimed at promoting the spirit of national integration, unity, and awareness among the youth about the contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in nation-building. Students enthusiastically participated and expressed their views on the life, leadership, and vision of Sardar Patel.
The event was attended by Addl. SP Hqrs Doda, SP Ops Doda, DySP Hqrs Doda, and DySP DAR Doda, along with a large gathering of shopkeepers, drivers, and prominent citizens of District Doda, who appreciated the efforts of Doda Police in organising such a meaningful and patriotic programme.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective pledge to uphold the values of duty, honour, and sacrifice that the martyrs stood for.
