The audit was conducted under the supervision of Audit Officer CA and PD Haroon. The team included concerned departmental officers, ICDS supervisor, Nutrition mobilizers and three Sarpanchs. Around 360 local men and women attended the audit and actively took part in the proceedings.

During the audit, locals were encouraged to speak freely about the functioning of ICDS centres and the performance of workers. Many participants appreciated the role of ICDS supervisors, workers, and helpers. They said children were receiving proper nutrition and pre schooling education at the centres. Beneficiaries also expressed satisfaction with the services being provided under the Poshan scheme.

All official records related to the ICDS project were checked in detail. The audit team also visited several ICDS centres across the three panchayats to assess ground level implementation. The paperwork and field level functioning were found to be satisfactory. The audit officer appreciated the overall performance of the project and its staff.

During interaction with the audit team, ICDS helpers raised concerns about non payment of fuel charges used for cooking meals under the Supplementary Nutrition Programme. They also highlighted issues related to freight charges for lifting rice and electricity charges for running heat pillars installed at the centres.

The helpers urged the government to resolve these issues without delay. Officials present during the audit assured that all genuine demands raised by the helpers would be forwarded to higher authorities for necessary action.
