DDC Bandipora aligns Social Audit of ICDS with “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” Campaign

BANDIPORA : As part of Good Governance Week 2025, the District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, aligned the “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” campaign with the Social Audit of ICDS, bringing transparency and accountability to the people’s doorsteps.
This unique initiative, continuing at the Panchayat level, aims to deliver government services closer to the community. A notable aspect is the significant participation of women in social audits, enhancing governance and development programs with their perspectives.
Women’s involvement strengthens accountability, combats corruption, and fosters inclusive decision-making. The campaign resolved grievances on the spot, informed citizens about key schemes, and provided services like Ayushman Cards.
Awareness camps on online services were conducted, and department representatives interacted directly with citizens, addressing issues and enhancing governance. The initiative highlights the importance of citizen participation in shaping effective governance.
