Kupwara : Continuing its sustained drive against the drug menace under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, Kupwara Police has intensified its action against drug peddlers and individuals involved in narcotics-related activities across the district.As part of the ongoing campaign, Kupwara Police has taken multiple stringent measures to curb the spread of drugs and dismantle the network of narcotics traffickers.

Key actions taken include:

– Look Out Notices issued against identified drug peddlers to prevent their escape and monitor their movements.

– Bound down proceedings initiated against habitual offenders and suspects involved in drug-related activities to maintain public order and deter unlawful conduct.

– FIRs registered against persons involved in illegal poppy cultivation, with legal proceedings set into motion against violators.

– Driving licences of offenders recommended for cancellation/suspension as part of strict deterrent measures.

– Verification initiated for cancellation/blocking of official documents such as Aadhaar Cards, Passports, and other government-issued documents of accused persons as per legal provisions and due process.
