Agartala : The 12th International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and participation at the CRPF Group Centre, Agartala, Tripura, on Sunday under the leadership of CRPF Inspector General Shri Sanjay Yadav.
The event was attended by Deputy Inspector General Shri Y.K. Rajput, other senior officers, CRPF personnel, and their family members, including children. More than 500 personnel registered on the Yoga Sangam Portal and participated collectively in the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) session, reflecting their commitment to health and wellness.
Addressing the gathering, Inspector General Shri Sanjay Yadav extended his greetings to all CRPF personnel and people across the world on the occasion of the 12th International Yoga Day. He emphasized that yoga is not confined to any particular age group but represents the human spirit, holistic well-being, and a balanced way of life.
Shri Yadav noted that since its inception, June 21 has evolved into one of the world’s largest collective celebrations, uniting people from diverse nations and cultures through the universal practice of yoga.
Speaking on this year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” he highlighted that yoga is much more than a physical exercise. It is a lifelong practice that promotes vitality, strength, and overall wellness at every stage of life. He stated that regular yoga practice helps individuals remain healthy, active, and energetic as they age while enhancing physical flexibility, mental balance, and emotional resilience.
The celebration concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to incorporating yoga into their daily lives and promoting a healthier and more harmonious society.
