Police Baramulla Issues Traffic Advisory for Gulmarg Tourists During Amarnath Yatra

Baramulla : In view of the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra–2026, Police Baramulla has advised tourists visiting Gulmarg to adhere to special traffic regulations to ensure the smooth movement of Yatra convoys and maintain public safety.
As per the advisory, tourist vehicles will not be permitted to travel from Gulmarg to Srinagar or from Srinagar to Gulmarg after 5:00 PM during the Yatra period. Visitors have been urged to plan their travel accordingly and follow the directions of police and traffic personnel deployed along the route.
Police said the restrictions are temporary and have been implemented to facilitate hassle-free traffic management and ensure the safe conduct of the annual pilgrimage. The department has sought the cooperation of tourists, transport operators, hoteliers, and the general public in observing the advisory and avoiding unnecessary inconvenience.
