Locals accused officials for not paying any kind of attention towards this vital road which connects dozens of villages and can make road accessible for the smooth traffic in the district.

Various times we have approached the concerned departments by representations, but they are only passing the buck and are playing dilly dallying tactics,” the aggrieved residents told

According to the delegation, they praise administration for their commendable steps to deal with the situation of traffic jam in the district mainly in Pulwama town. However, these facilities will only be successful if the district administration will widen road from Prichoo to Washbugh.

The angry locals of Prichoo, Malikpora, Washbugh and Dangarpora of the town accused Roads and Buildings Department of having failed to carry out necessary widening and repairing of road. Locals are now demanding the intervention of Deputy Commission Pulwama to take into account the hardships faced by the locals.(CNS)
