DC Kupwara appeals people below 45 age for 2nd dose of Covid vaccination Stresses for upholding CAB

Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din today again appealed people of Kupwara district to follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) keeping in view of rise in Covid cases in other districts of the valley.
The Deputy Commissioner was addressing a presser at D.C. Office, here today.
SSP Kupwara, Yougal Manhas was also present on the occasion.
 Giving details, the Deputy Commissioner said that there are only 25 active cases in the district, out of which 22 are under home isolation and 3 are under administrative isolation. He said recovery rate stands at 98.67% while as weekly positivity rate stands at 0.22% which is satisfactory.
Regarding vaccination status of plus 18, the Deputy Commissioner said that 86.85% population from 18 to 45 year age have got first dose of vaccination , while as second dose of vaccination have been given to 38.32% till date.
The Deputy Commissioner directed concerned officers to speed up the process of second dose to the eligible persons. He again appealed the people below 45 year age to come forward and vaccinate themselves at nearest vaccination centres for their safety against the COVID. He also appealed those people who have got 1st dose of Covid vaccine to administer the second dose on time.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed the people to make Covid appropriate behaviour (CAB) as part of habit in their lives so as to keep the district free from the pandemic.
